Jaylen Adams Named A10 Rookie of Week
A10 ROW Jaylen Adams. The first of many we hope.
Bonnies freshman point guard Jaylen Adams was named the A10 Rookie of the Week. Adams averaged 13 points, 2.5 rebounds and assists in the Bonnies two wins over Jackson State and Niagara. Adams scored a career high 19 points in SBU’s win over Jackson State. He’s averaging 11.2 points per game thus far.

It’s nice to see Adams get this recognition early in the season. Generally, the all-rookie team is made up of the players with the most R.O.W honors and so grabbing a few of these early in the season will help the freshman’s cause. It would be great to see him named as one of the five best in his class after this season and given his role on the team and likely minutes, it wouldn’t be shocking to see him challenge for a spot. If he can improve his A/TO ratio he will give himself an even better chance.
