PF Ladarien Griffin (2015) Commits
2015 class Ladarien Griffin from Providence, Florida has committed to St. Bonaventure per sources, as well as his own twitter handle. This is a nice get for the Brown and White in the fall signing period as they will lose both Yousou Ndoye as well as Chris Dees following the 2015 season. We’ll have more on his game, and how he fits in later but for now, enjoy the work of Schmidt and his staff wrapping up a a nice fall signing; a rare feat these last few years. The 6’7″ forward claims he’s grown three inches in the last year and scouting reports essentially say he’s a tough player to judge given his growth spurt and lack of offensive chances on his current team, but do say the upside is very high for this superb athlete. Griffin says he had standing offers from North Florida, Brown, Florida Gulf Coast and Texas Tech while Yale, Florida State, Cornell and Harvard were also showing interest. He stated academics being an important factor in his decision making (you could tell by the schools on his list) which is certainly a nice tip of the hat to Bonas’ reputation in academics.
Also, we’re less than three days away from the tip of the 2014-2015 season so let’s get ready for some Bonnies hoops!
